I was expecting a certain action to happen.
What can I do now?
For me to move forward,
1. I NOW know my expectation for THIS particular person/being/event was incorrect.
1.5 No sense in beating myself up over it. I can now know it. Learn from it. And move on.
1.6 What was my expectation? What did I not include in my expectation, that made it incorrect? What can I do next time, when crafting an expectation, to make an expectation better?
2. If I now change my expectation for this, and update my beliefs and/or thoughts about it, then I will not get upset the next time.
Did I do an action, or not do an action that may have prevented this from happening?

Practice it again, and again until you do get the correct results.
Maybe the expectation was incorrect.
Maybe the expectation that it would happen on the first time was incorrect.??
Maybe you could modify it so it is a little less steps?
Log your actions. (Like a scientific experiment)
1) Action taken
2) Get Result.
3) Help Others – If anything, maybe this would help others so they can know beforehand the possible results of an action.
If my expectation did not happen, then now, I now know my expectation was incorrect. Just readjust my expectations for this time for a next time.
