What is the sartorius?
The sartorius is a type of muscle of the thigh of a human. (1)

What does the sartorius do?
helps a person flex and rotate the thigh from the hip joint (1)
The sartorius is used when a person crosses their legs to rest on ankle on the opposite leg. (1)
Other examples include sitting cross-legged on the floor or bending and rotating the leg to look at the bottom of the foot. (1)

Where is it located?
It starts by the hip and wraps across the front of the thigh, then downward toward the knee. (1)
