What does a demyelinating disease do?
causes damage to the protective covering (myelin sheath) that surrounds nerve fibers in the brain, the nerves leading to the eyes (optic nerves), and spinal cord. (1)
can cause vision loss, muscle weakness, muscle stiffness and spams, loss of coordination, change in sensation, walking problems, changes in bladder and bowel function (1)

neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) (1)
