How to accurately determine visceral fat?
The only way to definitevely diagnose visceral fat is with a CT or MRI scan. (1)

How much of all body fat is visceral fat?
about 10 percent (1)
The the total body fat is calculated, then take 10% of that, and that will estimate the amount of visceral fat. (1)

How to determine if a person has too much visceral fat?
If a woman’s waiste measures 35 inches or larger, then the woman is at risk for health problems from visceral fat. (1)
