What is a polar bond?
A polar bond is a type of covalent bond in which the electrons forming the chemical bond are unequally distributed. (1) In other words, the electrons spend more time on one side of the chemical bond than the other.
Polar bonds are intermediate between pure covalent bonds and ionic bonds. (1)
