Learn about Triglycerides
What are triglycerides?
We commonly call the triglycerides in our food “fats” and “oils.” Fats are lipids that are solid at room temperature, whereas oils are liquid. (1)
Low triglycerides?
Doctors sometimes prescribe high doses of omega-3 fatty acids to help lower heart disease risk factors like high triglyceride levels, or specific fats in the blood. (2)
