Emotions

I lost a friendship, or parts of a friendship.

Who ended the relationship?
You
Them
I’m not sure

unavoidable changes in life or circumstances outside of your control (moved away, died)
the relationship has deteriorated (boundary issues/ different expectations)

First of all, if I say or do the wrong thing and cause someone to hurt, I cannot control if they chose to forgive me. (1)

Secondly, others may hurt or betray me and I may struggle with moving past it.(1)

Friendships do end sometimes, and it can actually be healthy.

Losing a friend does not reflect your value or ability to be loved by others.

You are your own best friend. You know what is best for you. YOU are always willing to listen to you. Night and day.

You can learn from the loss of friendship and become a better person to yourself and to only give and receive what others truly want.

Sometimes you may be sharing / communicating parts of you that they do not want to hear about. It IS their responsibility to let you know what they are interested in or not. However, many people do not or can not tell you this. They have not learned how to do this yet.

You can seek out new friends that that can possibly fill the gap that that friendship provided you. What did you like doing with that friend?
